December 2015 Sketch Call
The holidays are just around the corner and before everything gets really crazy, let's have a relaxing day sketching at the Salcedo Community Market!
This is our last official sketchwalk for the year, so don't miss the opportunity to learn, practice, chat, eat, and simply enjoy the urban greenery with fellow sketchers. As always, everyone is welcome to join - no registration fees, just bring your own drawing materials.
Where: Salcedo Market
Tordesillas Street, Salcedo Village,
Makati City
When: December 5, 2015
Sketching starts at 9:00am (you can come early of course)
Show and tell at 11:30am (this is when we regroup and show our work)
If it's your first time joining, please don't be shy! Just approach anyone holding a sketchbook/pad (he/she is most likely an Urban Sketcher) and say hi. :) See you on Saturday!

Urban Sketchers Philippines at Fête de la Musique 2015
On the weekend of June 20-21, the world celebrated Fête de la Musique 2015. Urban Sketchers Philippines joined the celebrations for our official monthly sketchwalk and we went to one of the pocket stages in Makati City to sketch and listen to the music of the MOD era.
The sketchwalk was held at Alchemy, a bistro bar with quirky interiors. The MOD stage was set to feature blues, ska, soul, pop, reggae, and folk music from some of the country's best music artists. The sketchers caught the DJ set of Bing Austria and the set of folk musician Ian Penn.
This June, Urban Sketchers Philippines was also featured in local online magazine Interaksyon.com. See the article here! Urban Sketchers Philippines: Experiencing the city through the lost art of drawing

After the sketch session in Alchemy, some of the sketchers transferred to other stages to continue drawing and enjoying the sounds of this year's Fête de la Musique.
Lala Singian wrote about her experience and mentioned the Urban Sketchers in her blog here: http://www.cornersandcrannies.com/alchemy-a-very-bizarre-bar-and-bistro/
